Michaël Cailloux : Childhood rediscovered, from Tuesday 17 to Sunday 22 October 2023, presents itself as a unique experience imbued with art and poetry, going beyond the conventional limits of the exhibition.

Michaël Cailloux seizes the opportunity of the centenary of the book Bambi with the publication of his new work Bambi: The True Story, a touching adaptation of the original novel by Felix Salten originally published in 1923*. Like a captivating artistic journey, the exhibition invites us to explore the enigmatic nature of time slipping away. A master of multiple creative dimensions and inspired by Salten's profound narrative, Michaël Cailloux presents a range of powerful artistic forms, creating a singular universe all his own. He navigates from chiseled etchings to intriguing wall jewelry, from original black pen drawings to art prints bursting with color. With his rich repertoire of artistic and historical references, from the 17th century to Art Nouveau, playing with emblematic techniques—from the oldest to the most current—the artist transports us with ease through temporal spheres. He offers us the opportunity and the pleasure of rediscovering the captivating scent of our own childhood, that elusive Proustian madeleine.

*Bambi : a life in the woods, Felix Salten's iconic novel, will captivate readers with its timeless story and contemporary relevance. First published in 1923, this poetic and profound tale has transcended decades and remains contemporary, offering valuable insights and lessons for our time. The themes explored in the novel, such as the relationship between humans and nature, the vulnerability of youth, and the fragility of ecological balance, resonate deeply with contemporary concerns.
