The Crochetan Gallery is pleased to welcome the French artist Michaël Cailloux on the occasion of Luxuriance, his first solo exhibition in Switzerland.

At a time when poetic expression and technical virtuosity have seemingly lost their significance, Michaël Cailloux imagines a luxuriant universe full of delicacy and sensitivity, imbued with extreme refinement and not devoid of humor. His magical reveries, magnified by a formal and chromatic play, reflect the richness of his imagination, while his playful and sophisticated staging invites us to develop our own narratives by "playing" with his stories.

The exhibition aims to reflect the artist's creative process, as his work is fascinating, rich, and complex, by revealing the various phases of his approach, from his marvelous drawings in fine markers or Indian ink to his abundant wallpapers displaying his most beautiful chromatic compositions. Indeed, Michaël Cailloux is a true virtuoso. His works range from etchings and aquatints to "wall jewels" chiseled in copper, including wallpaper, fine stationery, and book illustrations.

Passionate about insects, still lifes, and Art Nouveau, Michaël Cailloux exalts the realm of flora and fauna with a palette of vibrant colors. Like a magician holding the key to enchanting secrets, he creates as if the world were a perpetual miracle.
