Coming to the Jean-Jacques Rousseau Museum: “Marvelous Reveries” by Michaël Cailloux

The Jean-Jacques Rousseau Museum in Montmorency will welcome, from June 4, 2022, Merveilleuses Rêveries, a carte blanche from artist Michaël Cailloux. The event, which will run until October 30, promises a poetic and colorful immersion in a universe where nature reigns majestically.

Michaël Cailloux, known for his creations combining engraving, drawing and sculpture, will take over the museum's rooms with a series of works inspired by flora and fauna. Entitled Renaissances, this new series pays homage to threatened biodiversity, while subtly engaging in dialogue with the thoughts of Rousseau, a great lover of nature.

The exhibition will also extend to the museum's gardens, where an interactive trail will encourage young and old to observe the trees and groves in search of hidden animal species, some of which are endangered. A fun and sensitive way to question our relationship with the environment.

The highlight of this artistic adventure: a meeting and signing with Michaël Cailloux planned for October, during which the artist will present his monograph Lush nature, retracing more than twenty years of creation.

Merveilleuses Rêveries promises to be an unmissable event of the cultural season, combining art, philosophy, and ecology. An invitation to marvel, to contemplate, and to dream of a more harmonious world.
