For Bernardaud, a manufacturer founded in 1863, Michaël Cailloux embarked on the creation of a unique table service called Féerie.
“For this collaboration with Bernardaud, I wanted a festive, celestial, and sunny decor. A blossoming of patterns like a floral firework… With a starry sky of small dandelion flowers, carrot flowers, clovers, and wreaths of cherry blossoms. The hummingbird and butterflies flutter, attracted by the light and the bursts of gold. A nature in motion, joyful and luminous.”

The spontaneity and lightness of Féerie are only apparent. This decoration required great virtuosity and raised many technical difficulties. Michaël Cailloux designed all the motifs individually, then assembled them to compose the decoration by gradually adding elements to each piece of the service. All the know-how of the artisans of the factory Bernardaud was then called upon to faithfully translate the subtle pastel nuances of the drawing, to lose none of the finesse of the line and to make the golds vibrate.
