Collection Lemon Insect is the fruit of the collaboration between Michaël Cailloux and the two-hundred-year-old know-how of Longwy enamels 1798.
Seduced by the delicate technique of enameling the Longwy enamels 1798 which allows for a relief and finesse rendering, Michaël Cailloux spontaneously drew on the shapes by revisiting Napoleon's bees. They flutter in a field of grasses under a delicious summer sun. All sprinkled with a zest of lemon for a more geometric rendering. A collection called Lemon insect. The collection Lemon Insect is Michaël Cailloux's first collaboration with Émaux de Longwy. For over two centuries, Longwy has been producing enamels outlined with black lines on earthenware in France. This delicate technique involves printing the decoration in black onto the raw biscuit, then filling each outlined cell drop by drop with colored enamel.
