Ex-voto: Memory, 2024
Cutting, drawing on copper and chiseling
H. 25 x W. 22 cm
Unique signed work

Since 2024, Michaël Cailloux has continued his diversion of etching by applying color directly to his copper plates, which he cuts with a bocfil saw. This new approach, developed for the exhibition The power of the flowers to the Dominicans, frees matter and image from their traditional constraints. Through this bold technique, the artist fuses sculpture and drawing, offering a unique visual experience. Each work thus becomes a tactile and chromatic exploration, where the imprint of the gesture blends with the richness of color.
